CDS (I) 2017 – Paper Analysis
Overview
- The UPSC conducted the CDS (I) Exam on February 2017.
- The exam consisted of three papers – English, Elementary Mathematics and General Knowledge.
- UPSC CDS II 2017 exam was slightly easier than the previous year and some sections were more conceptual.
- General Knowledge & English questions were of moderate level while Mathematics was on tougher side.
Mathematics
- The questions on quantitative ability were based on various topics and involved simple calculations.
- The difficulty level of this section was moderate.
English
- The level of the questions was moderate.
- Verbal Ability covered entirely every topic of English usage such as Sentence Correction, Critical Reasoning, Parajumbles, Paragraph completion, Paragraph Summary and Reading Comprehension.
General Knowledge
- The level of the questions was moderate.
