NMAT Overview

The NMAT exam is conducted by the GMAC (Graduate Management Admissions Council), an international non-profit. They are the same folks who conduct other exams like the GMAT. NMAT is the admission exam for entrance to the MBA programs of Narsee Monjee University, Ansal University and several other universities.

NMAT is a purely computer-based test.

NMAT Updates

  • NMAT itself does not have much in the way of eligibility criteria – any person who pays the fees can give the test
  • The individual Universities have their own eligibility criteria in addition to the NMAT score, and you’ll need to figure that out with the Universities themselves
  • You will need to have a minimum 3 year Graduation degree in any discipline from any University or Institute
  • If you’re in the final year of a Graduate Course (at least 3 year duration) and your result will be declared before commencement of admissions for the academic year then you are also eligible to apply
  • Check the individual university websites for any percentage cutoff figures that may apply

Pattern of the Question Paper

  • The exam is purely online
  • It will be of 2 hours length
  • There will be a total of 120 questions, in 3 sections, as below:
