All you need to know about MH CET 2023

The CET Cell, Maharashtra has announced the MH CET Law 2023 exam dates for both 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB programmes.

The MH CET 5-year LLB 2023 will be conducted on April 2, 2023. And, MH CET 3-year LLB exam will be held on May 2 and May 3, 2023, in multiple slots. The MH CET law 2023 application form will be released soon at cetcell.mahacet.org.

The exam will be held in online mode, with 150 objective-type questions to be asked in both exams.

Maharashtra Common Entrance Test for Law will have questions on topics such as general knowledge, legal aptitude, logical reasoning and English.

MH CET Law eligibility criteria 2023

Candidates who wish to appear in MH CET law 2023 must meet the eligibility criteria for the law programmes prescribed by the Directorate of Higher Education, Maharashtra. The MH CET law 2023 eligibility criteria for 3-year LLB and MH CET 5-year LLB is different in terms of educational qualifications. Candidates can check the eligibility criteria for both programmes below.

MH CET 5-year LLB eligibility criteria 2023

Educational qualification

Candidate must have passed the Class 12 exams or an equivalent examination from a recognized board or institution.

Minimum marks required in qualifying examination

  • All India Category, General, EWS or Orphan candidates - 45%

  • SC and ST of Maharashtra - 40%

  • VJNT, SBC and OBC of Maharashtra - 42%

MH CET 3-year LLB eligibility criteria 2023

Educational qualification

Candidates must have completed graduation in any discipline from any university recognized by the government of Maharashtra. Candidates appearing in the final year/semester of graduation are also eligible to apply for the MH CET 3-year LLB exam 2023.

Minimum marks required in final year of graduation

  • All India Category, General category of Maharashtra, EWS or Orphan candidates - 45% aggregate marks

  • SC and ST of Maharashtra - 40% aggregate marks

  • VJNT, SBC and OBC of Maharashtra - 42% aggregate marks
